Yet investigation after investigation has turned up almost nothing. The “crisis” exists mostly in press conferences and fundraising emails. So when politicians push new barriers to voting in the name of “integrity,” it’s hard not to notice the pattern: the problem isn’t fraud — it’s voters. When turnout rises, power shifts. And suddenly the solution isn’t protecting democracy… it’s protecting incumbents.
