Fun Art—-Tinks Paintings
About the time I decided to try oil painting we got a new cat. So, naturally, I had a nice subject to pose for me. By “pose” I mean let me take a photo and then paint a copy of it.
“Tinks”, oil on board, 20” x 16”
“Tinks” came into our lives as an emotional rescue kitten, at a time when one of our deeply bonded cats had passed away and the other was clearly grieving. We hoped a new companion might help her heal, so my wife contacted a nearby no-kill rescue service. They didn’t even have a photo to show her—only a description of the tiniest kitten in the litter, barely half a pound, a little Maine Coon with outsized spirit.
We brought her home, and she quickly earned her name. When that tiny creature first used the litter box, she produced a smell so legendary ‘stink’ became “Tinks”—a name that fit her perfectly. From the start, she was willful, energetic, and full of personality, and she soon became not just a comfort to our grieving cat, but an indispensable part of our family.

Great work Mr. Very talented and an animal lover as well. Quite the package. Love your creations.
The tiny tiny tinny hands are shocking to see pummeling the water in the tub. The tub is a great metaphor for exactly how small the world has become in terms of interconnection of nations. Perfect. The tubs coloring is molting hot. Your talent once again excels. Thanks
